Can anyone help please??My cd rom in my dell latitude c840 laptop intermitantly reads cds.Sometimes it's fine then others it doesn't want to know.I've cleaned the drive several times but still no diffirent.Is there a gain adjustment on the laser to make it more powerfull? (I know there's one on the laser in a p.s.2..are these similar?)....It's a CD-R/RW drive model no. UJDA330 DL-Z .Ta.......

Try some 91% Isopropyl alcohol on a Q-tip and clean the lens... you don't need to saturate it.  Just a small amount will do.
