I'm very interested in using a hard drive in my PS2.  I'm trying to do it with out spending money :) (arn't we all).  I have a fliptop lid with a swap magic dvd.  My swap magic cd never worked.  I'm trying to find a away to boot off of a dvd to install stuff to my hard drive.  Looking for any info on how to do this.  Also I'm having issues finding how this all works.  Does the harddrive tools load an OS on the PS2 or do you have to boot off of a disk every time?  I've also found something about an exploit which it sounds like you boot off of a PSX cd and your able to boot into an OS enviroment.  I've got alot of questions.  There are alot of information out there on how to do the setup but i'm not able to find anything that will work the way i need =).  let me know if anyone out there is able to help.
