I believe standard DVD+R9 has the ability for PTP. It is definately possible to record PTP on DVD+R9 with GEAR 7.0 Pro and mastering editions - I have seen this first hand.
I hope zebra of DVDInfoPro sees this, he is the one that informed me of this via means of his site.
This is needed (PTP recording) for PS2 DVD9 backups without DMS4 modchips as the PS2 has problems running DVD9 games backed up onto dual layer media due to to problems reading from the second layer. This is because the data format on burnt DL discs is different than on pressed discs (burnt = OTP, pressed = PTP).
Now, DVD-R9 has "layer jump recording" - is this of any relevance to the above case succeeding?
There are no commercial "PTP dual/double layer media" available/released, so I do not have any...
I could just use the TOXIC Dual Layer Patcher, but I like to not "patch" things if it can be avoided.
BTW, I like your ImgBurn software, very nice/neat - maybe the above functionality is technically possible for you to add?
Thanks for the insights anyhow, keep 'em coming...
