I plan on adding an XP120 heatsink and 120mm fan, does it matter whether the cpu fan blows or sucks? is there a preference?

The only preference I have would be to blow, seeing as I have a case fan opposite blowing in cold air, and don't want to disrupt the airflow... does it matter that the cpu fan blows?

would appreciate anyone's opinion on this.

I like you title

Since your case blows out air from the back then set the new cooler to lead the air towards the case fan at the back. In that case the heat air for the CPU will go directly out of the case.
