Okay, this is my first time ever using a forum. But I am stumped in how to burn PS2 games. I have tried searching for several hours for a step by step guide for "burning ps2 games" and have found nothing. Mostly advertisements telling me to buy their "book". Ugh.

Anyways, I have a (MSI) +/- DVD R/RW writer and I am currently using Aterra Media DVD-R's for the blank DVD's. I am using Nero 5.5.10.45 and alcohol 120% for the softwares.

First step: I put in a ps2 game into the dvd writer and by using Alcohol 120%, I copy the "image file" from the DVD and onto my computer.

Second step: Once I get the image, I tried "burning image onto dvd" with alcohol 120%. It does not work. It performs an error, 1% into the operation.

Third step: Since 2nd step did not work, I used Nero. I tried compiling a new dvd in 2 ways: By making it a "DATA DVD" AND "creating a DVD with an exisiting Image" But unfortunately it did not even start to burn and i encounter errors.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? Please help, because I have been trying to burn my ps2 games for the last several days, while trashing 5 dvd's already. It the previous forums, I read it was good to use "DVD-R's for PS2 games. DO "DVD-RW's" work for ps2 games as well?

One more question. Direct DVD to DVD copying, is it any good?
or is it better to create an image onto computer, and then burning it?

It is "always" better to create an image and then burn the image.

Well the first thing I would suggest is to try some Compatible -R Media as the Sanyo Chipset DVD Writers can be very picky with -R so I suggest you try some Ritek G04 4x DVD's and see if that makes any difference !!!
