Hi, does anyone know wheter NEC ND 6550A firmware can be flashed to the rpc 1 version using ND 6500A firmware or not? thanks

No I would not attempt this at all.\

Go here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?category=14&manufactor=23 and you'll find the firmware you are looking for and it's for the 6550a.

http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/ you can find RPC1 firmware for all NEC drives
