I read somewhere that a person copied a PS2 game with Alcohol 120% and he played it on his Playstation 2 without a modchip or a Gmaeshark or any swapping method. Is that possible?

Highly unlikelly, as from what I know, cd have the code in order to boot the cd. And since it cant be copied, then you cant play them without some device booting the copied cd.
