Anyone knows which is currently the largest LCD desktop display, in terms of inches, under wide circulation?

What I would also like to know is the built in resolution and the refresh rate.

What other factors do a user consider as well as important?

For example, I used to choose for CRT's one with a flat tube, able to deliver my preferable resolution (say 1280x1024) at more than 100Hz refresh rate. The overall diagonal length (depending on my own vision ability) had to be more than 17".
In the case of LCD's some of these factors, of course will have to change. I wonder which and how.

Hello LA
As usual, your recommendation is on the point.

Based on what I saw, the mainstream of 18" and 19" LCD's offer a resolution of 1280x1024.

Should we expect next generation to offer 1600x1400, as current CRT's do?

I've heard of some people actually taking multiple LCD screens and somehow "h@cking" them together... I don't know how feesible it is, but it's kind of an interesting thought.

For multiple (not dual) LCD screens? Which Matrox would be that (having more than 2 LCD display connectors on it)? I guess that kind of monster adapter is right out of my budget... [xx(]

Don't think so, not quite yet. 1280x1024 should suffice unless you prefer high resolutions for games/professional graphics. I have yet to see a single LCD with a resolution greater than that above. If they do exist, I'm sure they'd carry a premium trice tag with them... [:I]
