Is there something I can do about this issue?
I'm using a sony vaio notebook model PCG-F390, and the DVD ROM is a Toshiba SD-C2202 and it's only recognizing DVD-R medias.
Anyone know what to do in this case?
Is there a software who fix it?

I think the specific model cannot read DVD+R due to its specifications.

Try a newer firmware from below, maybe this help:
