I'm trying to backup my copy of Splinter Cell. I tried using the Safedisc2 setting, but when I tried installing it, I get error messages saying that the files are not the same as the ones in the cab file. What am I doing wrong?

I'm using an Lite-on 48x burner btw.

This has been answered on several occasions. Try using the search function, look for splinter cell in the CD protections forum and I'm sure you'll find all the answers to your questions
