Using generic SCSI-3/mmc CD-R/CD-RW driver (mmc_cdr).
As you can see, the drive claims it could write DVD-R DL media with firmware 1.17, and whereas Plextor only supports sequential recording (profile 0x0015), this one also claims to do Layer Jump Recording (0x0016)... i don't think the Asus Clone of that drive behaves differently from the original Pioneer version :P
