I have an unmodded PS2 with HDLoader installed. I want to play some of the backups that HDLoader won't play such as Gradius V and I don't want to buy a Gameshark CD/DVD.

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but is the following possible?

(1) Install the image (iso/bin) of a Gameshark CD/DVD into HDLoader from the PC using WINHIIP.
(2) Run the Gameshark program from the HDLoader Menu.
(3) When Gameshark asks for a gamedisk, use a Slide card / tool to swap in a backup CD/DVD you want to play.
(4) Press X and play the backup from the CD drive.
