My Sanyo 24x burner, I burn mp3/audio cds quite fast(under 4 minutes), but when I burn VCD/SVCD's, the used read buffer and the recoder buffer level constantly jump up and down, and also cause my computer to run slowly. I have a decent amount of RAM(512+), and a halfway decent processor(AMD Athlon 1.2ghz). Is there anything I can do to fix this?

What software are you using? Are you copying a VCD or burning one from an mpeg file?

im using nero, and currently im burning from cuesheet (cue/bin), no copying or mpeg burning yet

I have to same trouble when I try and use Nero to burn Cue/Bin files. Not sure why, but it seemed to start with the newer versions of Nero. I use CDMATE to burn my Cue/Bin files. Just select "Imagefile to CD-Recorder" in the wizzard. Then select the cue file and away you go. CDMATE does have a free, fully fuctional demo. Give that a try, it is a pretty good software..... CDRWIN and others will do Cue/Bin files as well.....
