ok its me again dopey[:o)]

i was wondering which software is best capable of backing up a svcd to a vcd as my home dvd player will only output the picture from the svcd and no sound and i hope to rectify that by backing up onto vcd
home dvd player is a bush 2020

I imagine, any Mpeg2 encoder can do SVCD->VCD

You could try using VCD Gear to rip it properly from the SVCD, and then just drag it onto nero's VCD making window, and it *should* automatically re-encode it. I've never tried this, but supposedly it can do this (use Nero 5.5.9.14). Perhaps make an image of it first and mount it using Alcohol 120% to test first, don't want to make a coaster
