Hello..I hope its OK to post here..after 6 hours of trying to fix my CDRom and doing many searches I stumpled across your site.Here is my problem..I have Roxio CD Creator 5.3.5.10 I am trying to burn CD's(I use to be able to with no problems.I am now getting an error message that says"The disc in the recorder is not the proper media,please insert a blank CD"now the CD is brand new.After doing a search on Roxio'ssite,they said I needed to update my firmware?? What is firmware,how do I get it and can anyone help me :(

The Traxdata 8432 is the same drive as yours. You could flash the drive with this firmware but I am not sure whether the Traxdata flash utility works with the Philips drive. Another flash utility could do the job, however. If any other knows more, please help..
