Is anyone else having trouble with the zd8000 and battery life? I've been told because of the size of this laptop, powerwise, it will use of it's battery a lot faster than others (usually one hour). I tried to buy an external battery - all laptops can use them - but there isn't one for this laptop. HP doesn't make one and other companies' aren't compatible with the zd. Anyone else know about this?

are you using any kind of power management inside windows to increase your battery life? reducing the screen brightness might help too

Not much you can really do, the P4 runs extremely hot, and therefore, your fan runs all the time. Besides the power management that Emperor mentioned above,

1) Only turn on your Wireless Internet when you are using it

2) Turn off your sound

3) HP should sell a 12 cell battery for this, I think it comes with a standard 6 cell.
