I am reposting this in the correct forum. My apologies for the earlier posting.

I am running Win98 2nd Edition.
I recently upgraded Nero to Nero 6.0.0.11 and installed all 3 packages from the Nero site. Version 6.0.0.11 seemed to work OK although I did not try every function.

Since then I have updated Nero to 6.0.0.15 and also updated Nero INCD with the Nero update INCD40503.exe. Version 6.0.0.15 is working OK but although I can install INCD40503.exe, whenever I reboot I get a blue screen crash at the end of the boot. The crash message is "OE at 0028:C004D8C5 in VxD VFat(01)+0000B8ED. Called from 0028:C1C339A0 in Voltrack(04)+00000430". When I uninstall INCD, Nero 6.0.0.15 seems to work OK and the computer functions normally.

I was under the impression that Voltrack only gave problems with Win95.

Can anybody help, please.
Thanks in advance,
John

My suggestion is to stay away from any packet writing software, unless you do have a very good reason not to do this.

You will be getting more troubes and annoyances than any real benefit.
(I do know, that some othe rfellows here might disagree with me on this, but I do feel a need to communicate all this:)

Thanks for the reply. My reason for wanting to use packet writing is to be able to backup files to CD's. I've looked at a couple of backup programs that backup to zip files - a restore can then be done simply by unzipping. These programs all seem to require packet writing. I'd be interested in any further comments or suggestions you may have.

Thanks in advance
John

I TOTALLY agree with SP, packet writing is unfortunately not very reliable on a CDRW.

I backup as you mention above zip files to regular CDR's using DATA CD's ISO burns! You can unzip them to wherever you desire!
