Hi all, I have what is probably a dumb question, especially since I have searched the forums and faq and couldnt find anything relating. so here it goes, i just purchased a new internal DVD burner and it came with a 12" a wire with four femal pin connector on both ends. Where does it go, (no destructions inculded) I am beginning to think to my sound card but I want to be sure. And if it is to the sound card, there are three places it could go, black/white/green. BTW, I plan on the burner being slave drive. Any help is apreciated. Thanks

Sounds like you're talking about the analog audio cable. Typically it'll have be a 4-pin female black connector (really only 3-wires) with probably a grey sheathing around the wires.

Most sound cards have a spot to plug this in, but you really don't need it at all since almost all modern OS'es support digital audio (via the IDE/ATA data cable). Just make sure the checkbox is enabled under Device Manager for your CD or DVD drive...assuming you're running Windows.
