Hey there Denisr!!! Welcome to CDRInfo Forums!!! If u do a search on the forums u will find many (and I mean many) similar questions to the one u asked!!! It all actually depends on what your needs are...data backup, dvd movie backups, quality, etc. The best drives out now are the NEC3500A (also look for the just released NEC 3520), BenQ DW1620, Pioneer A108, LG 4160. The Plextor drive is new and more expensive than the others but personally I don't think it is worth the extra money!!! Best bet would be to read the reviews here at CDRInfo on the above drives and also do a search here in the forums and then make your decision!!! Good Luck!!!

I say get the Benq 1620, the Plextor 716A appears to have some quality issues.
