Lots of choices which I think is great.
Can the retail B series be used?
Or should I just update with OEM G series firmware?

To flash your OEM G series to non-OEM firmware (such as B7P9) might loss your product warranty.

Flashed it to B7P9 using winflash and .cvt Works great, and shows up as BenQ1620.

What I am saying is that how could I find the programm and firmware to flash my DVD driver.

I got one I/O magic 16x DVD driver on balck Friday.It is OEM by Benq and type on rear bakc is showed as

DW1620.0C1.Under Windows2k Pro,this driver is figured out as "ATAPI DVD DD 2X16X4X16" not:"DW1620". the firmware ver. is G7C9.Does anyone falsh its firmware to the lastest one?after this update,does the burner work stable?

I have got it!
