I need help flashing new fw for my a08xla. I downloaded the fw and ran it. The utility ran and said "processing 100%, Data transfer complete. Now internal re-flashing.... Failed to move to normal mode." If gives me an option to try again, but get the same error msg. Do I have to do something else when flashing this drive? What else should i do?

Also, with the 1.1 firmware, Ulead doesn't seem to "burn" stuff. My pc has a Lite one cdrw with Nero express. I tried to burn a dvdrw and cdr using Nero, and it worked. Any suggestions?

Strange problem, do you have the drive installed as MASTER/SLAVE? Alternative you can use DVRFlash over RPC1.org

Maybe (?) the wrong fw (for the DVR-108,not the A08) ???

The dvr is set as master on the secondary ide.

I'm sure i dl the 1.14 for the a08xl. I've dl from diff sites including pioneer's site for the new fw, same result.

As for the DVRFLASH, is this just a new fw upgrade or an upgrade with all the +++... rpc, etc.? Please send me a direct link where i can dl the patch.

Anybody having problems with the bundled ULEAD software? I'm putting in an AIW 9200 gpu in the pc, and it comes with the Pinnacle 8 video/picture eding suite. Which video editing (dig video cam) should I stick with? ULEAD's or Pinnacle's? I'd appreciate any advice, comment.
