I have just had my sons PSX2 chipped (Messiah). I can get PSX2 backups to boot and also PS1 originals to boot but none of his PS1 backups will boot, when I double tap the reset button (as I have been told to do) the message (insert a playstation PS1 or PS2 format disk) comes up. I have been told by the people who chipped it that this is a media problem and I should back them up on to another brand.

They worked fine in his PS1. The media I used are Verbatim, TDK and Sony all with a blueish/green bottom.

Question 1: Is their a better brand to use (Darker color bottoms).

Question 2: Is their a known problem with Messiah and booting PS1 backup games.

Question 3: Have they installed it incorrectly.

I would appreciate some positive feedback on this problem as my young son is pissed off.

Cheers
