I have had a couple of bad CDs when I burn VCD with Nero. Are there optimal settings/tweaks to burn best?

what format are the files when you try to make VCDs out of them? Was it a VCD or SVCD you were trying to make? What did you rip the files with? What do you mean by "Bad CDs"? And anything else that you can tell us. Have you tried another brand of CD media?

More importantly, how many minutes are you trying to burn? if you're overburning that could be the problem. Also, be careful not to bur the CD-Rs any faster then the certified speed, that can cause MAJOR burning issues if you're not careful.

First, thanks for the replies.

When I look at the capacity of the CD in Nero, it says 79 plus minutes. I burn 78 minutes worth of stuff on it. I am burning Mpg files trying to make a VCD, and maybe later SVCD. They were ripped when they were sent to me by my cousin, who doesn't have a burner.
When I say bad CDs, I mean CDs that burn partly, then stall because of that error message I mentioned. They only play partly. The brand I use is Princo.
