I've just burned a vcd direct from .avi usung nero. Quality is fine, but it's upside down.

I'm assuming I need to have tweaked Nero's settings but couldn't see anything that leaped out at me.

Is there a way of converting avi to vcd in one step or would it just be better to convert to mpg first using TMPGenc and then burn to vcd?

i am using nero 5.5.9.0 and had the same problem.

Nero is unable to read all avi files properly so you are better off using tmpeg. You usually get better results with tmpeg anyway.

Phew! Got there finally! Turned out my problem was with the AC3 coding. But, with a combination of Virtualdub, HeartAC3he, TMPGenc and NeroI eventually got what I needed - thanks for the input :)

Can you tell me exactly how you got Nero to finnally burn that AVI right side up??? Please and thank you! I have only run across this problem one time so far???
