I have a sony rewritable 12x and I am using princo 4x-10x rewritables, the problem is when I go to format these CD's using inCD the format completes but I cannot write to these cd (copy using explorer) I get the error of CD is write protected. Also when I do properties on the formated CD at tells me that it's 170kb it should be 650MB. When I use the same software on 1x-4x the format works. I have tried erasing the disks first and then re-format and the same thing happens. N e 1 else experience this phenominon?

Sounds like bad media. I just got some Memorex 80 min CDRWs and every last one is trash! I can not write anything to them because they will hang in the writer. But I can take some other CDRWs and they write just fine. Sometimes you get a batch of bad CDs.....[xx(]

Turns out I had to get a udf reader from Roxio, all is well now......

Wow,

I replied to this previously but strangely my post is gone. Anyway, I use the Memorex 80Min CDRW and have found the ones I buy are excellent. Maybe you got a bad batch Tron?
