Hi,

My LG DVD writer comes with an auto firmware updater. That thing detected a new version of my GSA H20N firmware and asked to update. It took a quite a bit to finish, and after I rebooted I saw that program flash my Samsung 252S drive instead of the LG.

Now my Samsung drive is not recogniced as an IDE drive so I can not flash it with the right firmware.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks,

The LG and Samsung run on different chipsets; your LG is Panasonic, and the Samsung should be Mediatek... I've never used the LG auto-updater so I can't speak about it since I prefer to do things the old fashioned way... within my control!!!  Perhaps you should go to LG's site with your claim and see what they can do to assist.
