Hi to everyone, this is my first post on your forum.
I've red your review, and I'm disappointed, most of all about the copy protection issues of the Toshiba. I've made several test on this drive, and, of course the quality in some cases lacks, but me and other members of our italian forum, have found this device fully capable of copy Safedisc up to version 3.20, tested on several device without any emulation. At the same time, I find very difficult to create a fully works copy if it's written at 48x! Weaks sectors writing don't like high speeds.
Cheers,
Preda

sadly, the drive is not tested with TU55, which is 6x dvd-rw n 8x dvd+rw capable.

i hav a similar test as well. click here

in conclusion, the drive really needs a lot of improvement

@Preda, thanks for the feedback, i think minos can test and see if the writing speed does affect the weak sector writing and fix the page..

@raygay, thanks for the news, with the new firmware TU55 i see major changes, minos should install and make an adjustement to the review
