hi all,

just a few questions about the firmware upgrades ive been reading about

i have just bought a philips PBDV1640B dvd-RW and didnt realise that it was only a 8X -R writer

now my questions are can i use the flash upgrades on this drive for example fot the PBDV1640P drive also how do you flash upgrade a drive a tutorial would help if there is one about.

please guys remember im a newbie and please dont flame me, and i apoligise if i have repeated this post!

Usually the firmware upgrade procedure is simple, a .exe file, you double click at it, select your drive and press flash, the process is done automatically and after flashing, reboot needed
