I recently changed my MB after my old system died. Now I cannot read a UDF formated CD in my Yamaha drive - in fact the blue light just keeps blinking and it tells me there is no formated disk in the drive and won't even allow me to format it. I can read previously created ones fine in my other non CD-RW drive. I have tested this on two other drives from in the same system with XP and Win2K and getthe same result. I suspect that there might be a setting in the bios that is different. Can anyone give me a clue what to look for?

I would try latest InCD with Win9X operating system

John's suggestion looks OK. We can only guess that after the MB replacement, you reformatted your HDD, installed Windows 95/98/98SE/ME (?), then the latest chipset drivers from your MB manufacturer, etc., and then your favorite packet writing program (?). And then you replaced your HDD, installed Win2K, etc.; same for a third HDD with XP. We have all the info needed to help you...

I actually have a removable hard disk system so that each drive is isolated and I'm not running multiple operating systems on the same drive. I am inclined to beleive it is a BIOS setting. I have a MSI K7T MB with an Award BIOS.
