Oh Yes you would !!!

And yes it will be cured but only if Yamaha think it is safe to do so and still have high Quality Writing !!!

I received my CRW-F1 today, and I am very happy to report that my media that I already had purchased (32X certified - various branded TY Media) all writes at 44X. I tested each CD, both data, and audio, and there are no errors on any of the disks! This CD-Writer is SMOKING, I am so glad that I didn't go with the Plextor drive (Oops didn't mean to cuss in the Yamaha Forum)

Anyway this drive is awesome, I also did a few T@2 writing, it is okay, not all that impressive (but limited by the media I have) but the function does work as advertised. GO YAMAHA!

I suggest you upgrade to 1.0c firmware if you have not done so already it does improve the Drive quite a bit !!!
