And the tragedy here is the punishments were handed out like this:

One day detention for the first kid on the bench...
... Two days detention for the second kid on the bench...
... Expelled for the remainder of the school year for the third kid on the bench.

Merry Christmas to all anyways... and if you're in the U.S.A. and it offends you... you don't belong here if you don't respect our freedom... I say that goes for the politicians and judges that let this happen as well!
