I am helping a friend purchase a dvd burner and install it in her computer. The computer is a PIII 800 Mhz with 256+ ram. Will that be enough processor speed to copy dvds or burn dvds? I know it meets the minimum requirements, but will be enough to burn dvds? I have a P4 2.8ghz, so I don't know what the minimum should be. Thanks for any help

PIII 800 Mhz with 256MB RAM is good, even for 16X DVD recording. A 512Mb RAM would be better but even this is ok as soon as you are not doing multiple things on the PC while recording.

Probably a fast HDD (with 8MB Cache) would help burning up to 16X too
