Wireless Stadia Controller Support Comes to Laptops and Desktops

Wireless Stadia Controller Support Comes to Laptops and Desktops

Gaming May 6,2020 0

Google’s Stadia Controller will work wirelessly with laptops and desktops starting this week, the company announced.

You no longer need to connect your Stadia Controller physically to your computer to play games. You’ll be able to link your Stadia Controller and Stadia.com through your Wi-Fi network and play without a USB-C cable connection.

Since the cloud gaming service’s November launch, the only way you could use your controller wirelessly was if you were playing Stadia on your TV with a Chromecast Ultra. You still can’t use the Stadia Controller wirelessly with an Android phone, though.

A Stadia controller is sold for $69 or for $129 as part of the Stadia Premiere Edition bundle, which also includes a Chromecast Ultra and three months of the paid Stadia Pro subscription.
