SectorTester is a software that can scan CDs for errors in either Data or Audio format. The software is sharewhere, offers limited functions and can be downloaded here:

When you press the yellow "thunder" button, the software will start checking the disc for errors and will prompt for any errors. In our case the data disc passed the tests, while the Audio track produced the "Error" message:
