Pioneer BDR-XD05J and BDR-209JBK BD Burners Released
Pioneer has just made available in Japan the portable USB 3.0 BDR-XD05J and the SATA BDR-209JBK BDXL burners.
The BDR-XD05J is a compact (133 mm x 133 mm x 14.8 mm WxDxH)
and lighweight (230g) drive with a clam-shell design. It
features a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface, and uses a single
cable for both power and host connectivity. The drive can
write single- and double-layer BD-R discs at speeds of up to
6X, triple- and quadruple-layer discs (BDXL) at up to 4x, and
all kinds of BD-RE discs at speeds of up to 2x. DVDs burn at
speeds of up to 8x, and CDs 24x.
It also supports Pioneer's PureRead2 + technology for accurate audio CD playback and it comes bundled with a suite of Cyberlink disc authoring/playback software, compatible with
Window 8.1.
The BDR-209JBK is an internal (SATA) BDXL burner that supports the max. 16x burning speed with BD-R SL/, 14x with BD-R DL, 8x with BD-R R TL and 6x with BD-R QL. DVDs burn at speeds of up to 16x, and CDs 40x.
Other features include a fast disc loading with BD media, PureRead2 technology, and a power saving mode.
The BDR-209JBK is bundled with Cyberlink's disc authoring/playback software.
