Microsoft Announce Upgrade Program For Upcoming Office 2010

Starting today, users who purchase and activate Office 2007 will be able to download Office 2010 at no additional cost when it becomes available in June 2010, Microsoft announced today. Microsoft's "Office 2010 Technology Guarantee" program starts today. All you need to be eligible for this program is the following:

- Purchase Office 2007, or a new PC with Office 2007, and activate it between March 5, 2010 and September 30, 2010.
- Have, or create a Windows Live ID.
- Redeem your Tech Guarantee before October 31, 2010 by visiting www.office.com/techg.

The Office 2010 Technology Guarantee will be fulfilled online, via download, at no additional cost.

In addition Microsoft today confirmed that Office 2010, SharePoint 2010, Visio 2010 and Project 2010 were on schedule and would release to manufacturing (RTM) next month.

For businesses, Microsoft will launch the 2010 set of products, including Office 2010, SharePoint 2010, Visio 2010, and Project 2010 worldwide on May 12.

For consumers, Office 2010 will be available online and on retail shelves this June. Until then, users can get the Office 2010 beta at www.office.com/beta.
