With more than 300 hours of recording capacity, video playback and recording for most of the popular digital media formats and a user-friendly interface, the LiteOn LVW-5055GDL+ DVD recorder is aimed at power users and enthousiasts. LiteOn unveiled its new series of HDD enabled DVD recorders in late 2005. the Taiwanese company gave us the chance to test their flagship, the LVW-5055GDL+ which boasts by a huge 250GB HDD.

The device is a HDD/DVD recorder and supports MPEG-4 and DivX video playback and recording , making it easy to capture and preserve treasured moments on any DVD+R/+RW/+R DL, DVD-/-RW and CD-R/RW media, while alleviating any concerns about which disc media will work with the unit.
