Doom 3 Review - Page 5

Action

The main characteristics of Doom 3, are the fear and the anguish of what awaits in the next room while you constantly hear sounds from hell. The darkness and the horrifying howls build up the intensity to the max.

As you progress from room to room, your opponents, even though there aren't many of them in each room, are capable of making your skin curl and frightening enough to keep you sleepless at nights.

A negative aspect is the fact that the same action is repeated from room to room, without however losing anything in atmosphere and without wanting to imply that you will be bored. The monsters are hidden in the most unexpected places, often waiting for you to slack off before attacking and this keeps you constantly on your toes.
