Convera and Emuzed Partner On Digital Media Solutions

Convera and Emuzed Partner On Digital Media Solutions

Optical Storage Jun 25,2001 0

Convera, a provider of advanced technologies, products and solutions for unlocking the value in digital content, and Emuzed, a provider of MPEG technology solutions and professional services, just announced a strategic partnership that enables Emuzed to provide its customers with Convera Screening Room as part of its digital media solutions.

In addition, Emuzed will build expertise to provide services for specialized integration projects and will offer their encoding service to customers undertaking large video conversion and archiving projects.

Convera Screening Room adds a key component to Emuzed's offerings. With the product, Emuzed customers obtain a powerful tool to index video content, making it easy to search, manage, re-purpose, and publish video within an integrated solution. For example, Emuzed recently provided eLearning company Mentorware with a solution to manage 220 hours of video footage from the Sun Java One Conference. With Convera Screening Room, Emuzed will now be able to add significant value to its services by offering complete video indexing and content management solutions. This will greatly reduce Mentorware's production time and costs in creating its eLearning modules.

Convera Screening Room provides scalable, high-performance access to any video asset (analog or digital) from an ordinary Web browser.

With Screening Room, users can automatically capture video; browse visual summaries (called "storyboards"); catalog content using metadata, annotations, closed caption text, and voice sound tracks; search for precise video clips using text and image clues; and create rough cuts and "Edit Decision Lists" for further production.
