ASUS Unveils the New Laptops

ASUS Unveils the New Laptops

PC components Nov 21,2015 0

ASUS has announced the latest X Series laptops - X456, X556, and X756, along with two new N Series laptops, the 15.6-inch N552 and the 17.3-inch N752. The X Series includes 14-, 15.6- and 17.3-inch laptops feature glossy, spun-, or brushed-metal-effect finish chassis and are available in five colors: Chocolate Brown, Navy Blue, Arctic Snow, Glamour Red, and Icicle Gold. ASUS X Series is powered by up to the latest 6th-generation Intel Core i7 processor with up to 8GB RAM (expandable to 16 GB), and feature up to NVIDIA GeForce 940M graphics. In addition, ASUS Eye Care technology reduces blue light emission by up to 33% to protect users' eyes during long hours of use.

The laptops come with Windows 10 preinstalled and users can opt for a 2 TB hard disk, or upgrade to a solid-state disk for faster data access speeds.

ASUS X Series laptops use lithium-polymer (Li-poly) batteries that are designed for up to 700 charge cycles, giving them 2.5 times (2.5X) the lifespan of standard Li-ion cylinder batteries. Li-poly batteries also retain up to 80% of their original charge capacity even after hundreds of charge cycles.

The laptops feature reversible USB Type-C ports. With these, users can enjoy USB 3.1 Gen 1 data transmission speeds of up to 5Gbit/s. Additional connectivity options include standard USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, along with HDMI and VGA output for external displays. The laptops also feature a 3-in-1 SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader, an RJ-45 Ethernet port and a DVD Super Multi optical disc drive.

ASUS also announced two new N Series laptops, the 15.6-inch N552 and the 17.3-inch N752. These are the latest and most powerful models in this entertainment-focused range, delivering performance from the latest 6th-generation quad-core Intel Core i7 processors with gaming-grade NVIDIA GTX 960M series graphics.

The new models incorporate the latest and fastest technology, including 10 Gbit/s SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.1 Gen 2) with the Type-C port, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, and 512 GB PCIe x4 1500 MB/s SSD storage options. Visuals are provided by up to 4K/UHD (3840x2160) wide-gamut IPS displays.

IPS technology prevents color washout and contrast reduction when the display is viewed at wide angles up to 178 degrees. With a wide color gamut of up to 72% NTSC, 100% sRGB and 74% Adobe RGB, colors are more accurate than on standard displays.

Both models also feature exclusive ASUS SonicMaster audio, incorporating ICEpower technology.

To complement the visual capabilities of ASUS N552 and N752, ASUS SonicMaster audio, incorporating ICEpower technology, gives N Series laptops cinematic-quality surround sound from the front-facing speakers.
