With four processing cores running at 2.66GHz, a total of 6MB of shared L2 cache, a 1333MHz Front Side Bus (FSB) and the fact that the processor is built on the 45nm process are all great reasons to think about getting a Q9400. Add to that a 1.2GHz overclock that was easy to reach and you have yet another winner from Intel. If you don't want to go with an Intel Core i7 series processor, the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9XX's series of processors are good choices as they cost less and can still compete...

On occasion, we here at JonnyGURU.com take a step out of our normal routine of talking about power supplies, and dive into something different. Well today is one of those endeavors. We are going to take a look at a chassis from NZXT, the Zero 2. The overall look of the Zero 2 chassis, closely reassembles the older sibling, the Zero. So let's dig in and see how the Zero 2 holds up to todays standards.

AMD has been on the back-end with its current architecture processors since Intel brought us Core 2. For over four years now AMD has had to play catch up and it seems that every good thing has to come to an end. But while AMD has lost the performance crown to Intel, the Phenom II based processors are extremely cost effective, as are their supporting boards. On the chopping block we have the new PURE CrossFireX 790GX based board using AMD's newest chipset designed for AM2+ and AM3 processors, this being the 790GX. How well will this board compare to our already tested MSI Dragon reference board? - Let's find out.

When it comes to configuring that new notebook computer, you have a lot of options to choose from. Everything from the screen size, processor, graphics, memory and hard drive can be optimized to fit your needs and your budget. Unfortunately there are still some standard components that don?t fully lend themselves to upgrades, such as the audio system.

Gone are the dimples that were pressed into the fins in the previous Vendetta coolers, this time the fins are plain and smooth. Rather strangely the aluminium base around the heatpipes has 6 columns that extend up and have three fins attached to them. I can only assume this is to give more supporting structure to the cooler as I doubt it would make much difference in temperatures.

The ATP PhotoFinder Mini is a synched GPS tracking device that essentially Geotags your photos, adding the coordinates of the location to the image?s EXIF-data, which can then be interpreted and used in an application such as Google Earth, for example. This could also be very useful for visual inventory and mapping jobs, people who work for park services, survey and mapping, GIS analysis, and other resource-based industries, not just the home user who forgets where their photos were taken.

Today we're looking at Galaxy's version of the GTX 260+ and it carries everything you want for a card that has been out for a while; a pretty mean looking cooler and an overclock that is going to give us a bump in performance. Today we'll be taking the time to see how the GTX 260+ from Galaxy we have here goes up against another Galaxy card, the GTS 250 and the current top single GPU card from ATI, the HD 4870, which is due to be replaced by the HD 4890 very soon.

DDR3 has been out for a pretty long time already and even though a majority of enthusiasts currently run systems that utilize DDR3, the majority of systems are still running on DDR2. DDR2 is the mainstream technology and has a price point to match. The KHX8500D2T1K2/4G kit comes with brand new heat-spreaders and good performance for a 4GB DDR2 kit.

The ASUS SDRW-08D1S-U Diamond slim USB DVD drive was incredibly easy to use straight out of the box. All I had to do was plug the cable into the drive and the other 2 ends into the computer, and voila! It works. There was no installation necessary, which is nice. The stylish and attractive DVD burner utilizes the high-speed USB 2.0 interface with the ability to record on 8X DVD+R, 8X DVD+RW, 6X DVD-R (DL) and 5X DVD-RAM...

The last review I did for Noctua was of the NH-U9B which is sort of the little brother to the NH-U12P that Chris reviewed for us earlier on. This time Noctua sends the newest variation, the NH-U12P SE1366 CPU cooler. The SE or "Special Edition" refers to this model being Core i7 specific. The NH-U12P tested very well amongst our other coolers, so I expect no less from Noctua with this SE version.
