The boys and girls at Ultra have made a bit of a name for themselves with their line of power supplies. While PSUs aren't their only products, they are their most famous. Their first big name PSU was the X-Connect and it was labeled as the "World's first fully modular power supply." Today, I am taking a look at their new X-Finity FlexForce PSU...

Modders know... a great fan controller can add wicked styling and great functionality to your case. We are taking a look at the Fan Commander from Ultra, which easily takes care of both of those things!

The Ultra Fire Heatpipe did its job and still makes me a believer in the development of this technology. Even though I am still a water guy at heart, I recommend the Ultra Fire Heatpipe. It looks good, performs well, and is quiet. What more could you ask? One drawback is that it is a little tall, if space is an issue like in a SFF case, the Ultra Fire Heatpipe is not an option. To be honest, that is the only real negative thing I can come up with about this product...

Fan Commander, brought to you by Ultra, is not your basic fan controller. It's offering control for up to seven fans, three thermal sensors, and individual temperature alarms that are all brought together by a large LCD display. With solid packaging and an included accessory bundle that makes sure you will have more than everything you need, the Fan Commander impressed me from the beginning to the end of this review...

If your not into overclocking your Cpu and need better cooling than stock, this is an excellent choice. Its almost as if Ultra have took Intel back to school and told them, hang on this is how it should be done. A great cooler that performed better than I thought it would...

Ultra Products has proven itself as a quality provider for a number of products. While they are still relatively new, their reputation has grown exponentially with the success of their X-Connect power supplies. These memory modules have certainly put Ultra Products on the map for high speed, low latency DDR kits. The quality of the product does comes at a reasonable price. This 2*256MB kit retails for 95 dollars at Tiger Direct. At this price, you won't find very many other 2*256MB kits at this clock speed. In addition, Ultra Products guarantees performance of PC4200, which is something not all competitors will do...

Ultra Products still has a bit of refinement left for the Ultra Fire; more fins would definitely be an advantage. The push-pull fan system will surely be able to capitalize on such an improvement. If Ultra Products used 80*80*25mm fans, we could expect more air flow, lower dBa's and an overall increased performance. As it stands, the Ultra Fire is a basic stock cooler replacement with potential to be much more.

Overall I think the Ultra Products 2.5" Aluminum USB 2.0 HD enclosure is worth purchasing if you already have a spare laptop hard drive. It has good performance for the price, and it is fairly portable. However, if you do not already have a drive I would recommend looking at something like the extremely portable Transcend StoreJet.

Both the 80mm and 120mm fans look very good, but it's the 120mm fan that is the better buy. The 80mm fan is a good option if you have several places where you could mount them, but the 120mm performs on par with many popular quiet fans that don't look nearly as good.

Back in the day the old street racing term was "If it don't go chrome it!" we would say that about cars that never really had the edge. Make it look good and show it off instead, if it wasn't going to perform. Well Ultra Products took a different approach; when it comes to their power supplies. You take looks, function and performance and put them all together in one sharp looking package and you end up with the Ultra X-Connect 500Watt ATX Power Supply. Today we are going to see if it has the edge or is it just a show piece.

Although this is a pretty conventional case design, those looking for a simple yet attractive case may look no further than this Ultra Dragon. They come in a variety of colors including the black one we reviewed as well as blue, red, silver, and white. By adding some colored LED fans to this case you get a slight eerie glow which will appeal to most everyone.

The Ultra X-Connect Green UV 500W is certainly one of the most cosmetically innovative power supplies to come around in a long time. Its modular design means that you won't have to hide those extra power supply cables behind the motherboard tray or in the 5 1/4" drive bays, you can simply connect what you need!

This device in my eyes, is all that Ultra Products advertises and more and is worth a spot in any technophile's collection. The unit can still be found for about $80 but Ultra has recently released a newer version of this unit which is labeled as an 8 in 1 device including the ability to check email? ;-)
