We have been blessed to review a number of amazing boards from DFI's top shot line up; today we slow it down a bit as we look at one of their more mainstream oriented designs. As part of the Infinity series, the Blood Iron Infinity P35-T2RL motherboard is based on the popular Intel P35 chipset supporting DDR2 memory. How does it stack up as a more cost-effective mainstream board?

DFI Technology is well known for motherboard manufacturing and boards with extreme overclockability. While they were pretty much silent lately, when it comes to DFI, that probably means they are working hard on a new product aimed at enthusiasts and hardcore overclockers. This time, they are back with a budget-oriented board.

DFI does not disappoint with the NF570-M2/G. Although it may not look like much at first glance, this board does indeed have it where it counts. It has some surprising extras being left out in many budget boards like onboard firewire and both optical and coaxial SPDIF outputs. The overclocking potential this board has is nothing short of incredible. Both the reference clock and HTT frequency can be pushed to extremes far beyond any practical use. This board will not be your overclocking bottleneck. I would highly recommend the NF570-M2/G to anyone looking for a very capable AM2 overclocking board for not a lot of money.

Although many expected DFI to launch P965 chipset-based motherboard among the first manufacturers, DFI was the last to do so. To make the paradox even greater, DFI did it shortly after the presentation of P965 successor - the Intel P35 chipset. Was DFI Infinity P965-S worth waiting for?

When DFI comes out with a new motherboard, the enthusiast community is always listening. And when DFI goes a step further and introduces their first NVIDIA based Intel motherboard, they've certainly got our attention as well. Is this the definitive 680i nVidia board that overclockers have been waiting for? We test the DFI 680i LT-T2R overclocking potential with Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad CPU to find out.

600i series chipsets have taken off quite remarkably because of their high feature set, full speed SLI, a new MCP with more SATA ports and the ability to have a third graphics slot on the high-end 680i SLI for physics. 680i LT recently made its debut to provide a more cost effective chipset based on the 680i design with full speed SLI, but not support for physics slot. 650i SLI used the original SLI design by splitting the single PCI Express x16 slot down into two PCIe x8 slots and reduced the amount of SATA ports and Ethernet connections. Today we are looking at the first of the more value orientated chipsets form Nvidia in the 600 series - the 650i Ultra. Designed similar to that of the 650i SLI, it supports all of the same features bar one - SLI support. DFI has provided their Infinity NF650i Ultra board for us to test but how does it perform? Let's find out right now!

We can say without hesitation that DFI had crafted one of the finest 680i LT board on the market, with dual Gigabit LAN / Teaming function, 6 phase digital VRM, twin x16 and single x8 PCI-E expansion slots, and a custom heatpipe cooler for the north bridge.

This motherboard is perfect for overclock: no hardware mods are required to have the best performances from cpu, ram and graphic card. Even if the chipset (Intel p965) used on this motherboard isn't very recent, its performances are very close to the Nvidia 680i. The price is around 168?, really interesting, considered the outstanding performances.

Today we have got our hands on the first, we hope, of many 680i LT boards. This one comes from DFI, who has really put its all into the product. So let us take a look and see if it is worthy of your dollars. It comes under the famous LANParty name, so we are expecting quite a lot.

When it comes to the RD600 chipset, I really did expect more right out of the box. DFI included all of the tweaks that have been available on past LanParty series boards. There is likely some tweaking that can be done to get a little more out of the board, and many of the hard core tweakers would like that on this board...
