My Lite-On 12101B is dead...again. I posted about this a while back, and did eventually restore the drive, using a friend's computer.

And now, the problem - the drive led flashes orange/red on startup for about a minute, then goes green and then off. The drive is not recognized by the BIOS. Same deal on Mac or PC.

Without using the jumper trick, Pflash reports the firmware rev. as LS38, but I get about 20 compare errors, and flashing is aborted. The jumper trick yields the same results. Mtkflash always hangs.

This may be unrelated, but the drive took a tumble a while back, of about two feet. I believe this to have been between the times in which the drive worked and when it didn't, but can't be sure.

Please, I'd like any advice on how I could make this drive live again.
