I have a 3500 and every flasher (official or unofficial) has given me a FLASH ERROR or similar error when trying to flash from 2.16 firmware. Am I missing something? Is there a jumper to set? Help!

Found the problem! Something to do with my PC (Asus A7M266D dual board with Althon 2400). Put into another PC and flashes, it's now back in the main PC.
