I've just burnt a cd-rw with this new firmware,just to try it.It seems that there's a little problem;the led doesn't become red when the dvd-writer burn the cd.Now I want to test the drive with some cds and dvds,but in the mean time I decided to post this message just to know if somebody else have noticed something strange with the new firmware in the drive.
P.S. It is not a big problem,but maybe it's not the only one!

Yeah, you're right Marte. Burning a CD @ 24X turns my led green instead of red. This is a bit disappointing but not a big problem.
Altought the led problem, the burner seems to work better.

Finally, do you know some "quality burning test" to compare the different versions of the firmware?

The flasher is not updated,they have only added a pdf file to the zip file,but they didn't change the flasher!

Yes,I'm sure.You can see this if you look at the date of the last modification of the flasher itself.It is 14/10/2004,that is the same as before.And I tried the drive burning a dvd and the led is green!
