Can anybody explain what "Hide cdr Media" is in clone cd?

It is used to allow you to play backups of games protected to check the ATIP info on a CD Writer. Some games when copied will not play on a CD writer because it is capable of checking the Atip data. So the program will have it look for this to see if it is a copy.
