play vob files function does not work

Installed the latest version (3.26). Everything seems to work except the play/pause button for playing vob file is greyed out and does not function at all. The stop play buttom works i.e. the hand cursor appears when the mouse pointer points to it.

Very strange??? Any ideas of what might be the problem appreciated.

thanks for that I fixed it in 3.28 which is there now. If you already have 3.28 and its not fixed, then download it again.

Installed version 3.29. Problem now fixed. Many thanks to everybody.

Hmmm ...
For me, 3.29 is only able to play a straight AVI, WMV or MOV file. Cannot play MPEG2 or VOB - player window opens, flashes and goes away again.

No problem playing the MPEG2 file with any other media player on the same hardware.

for every file type you want to play you need a codec. The program uses installed windows codecs, the same ones used my media player. so if certain file types wont play its because you do not have a codec for that program installed. I dont not supply codecs for licensing reasons. There are many multiformat codecs out there that even do such things a quicktime and realplay not normally seen..

Hi Nic,
I can assure you I do have the codecs - I produce digital videos. All other players I have installed play those files fine, but I'll look into it and check it out on another system.
