This process is not mine. I have to say that I have never tried this. Just a FAQ I found and will post it here until someone tells me it will work or will not work

Spoon-fed PS2 Backup Tutorial
-By Bjohnson

So you want to backup your expensive ps2 games so that you don’t have to play the expensive originals
Well you’ve come to the right place. I’m going to show you all that you need to know and make you an expert.

Ok getting started, tools needed.
By the way I was able to use Google to find freeware versions or working demos of all these programs.....(Tron)

-Ips’s program AddZer0
-Cic Image Converter
-CDRWIN
-IsoBuster
--------------------------
-Diskspace
-Patience

Ok this now on to the good stuff. I’ll demonstrate using the game ring of red.

First: Open up the program CIC Image converter

Second:
Set the image type for the source file and target

the types that are needed to be set to are the ones shown above.

Now load the image

Ok now that its loaded into the program pick an output.

Now click ok

Please wait till this completes as it might take a while.

Ok forth or what ever number we are on.
After it has completed you have successfully converted your image to a 2048 iso. Now take and open up Command Prompt .

Now go to the directory containing the iso. (Quick dos lesson type “cd Directory name”)
Now make sure you copy the AddZer0 program to this directory in windows.
As soon as this is done go back to you command prompt window, and here is what you type…

Addzer0 Input.iso output.iso StartLBA

DON’T HIT ENTER yet….
Go back to windows
Open up Isobuster

Now here is where the patience is used. Make sure you know how to use this as I can’t explain it in this tutorial.
And if you don’t have any of this there is a place that sells copies of this for $50 so don’t complain.

All right look through the directories. You are looking for a file that has an LBA that contains the lba 12231. Think of it this way there is a file at 10000 and the next file is at 13000. Now using deductive reasoning you can see that 12231 is in this file. So this would be the number you would use.
But in our example we see this file is at 12210. So this is the number that we would use in the command prompt.
Back at the command prompt you now have all the info to run AddZer0
Type “Addzer0 Input.iso output.iso 12210” for our example.
The program will run and take about 5 mins or so.

Now you are ready to burn the image.
Open up cdrwin.

click file backup and tools.

Make the nessesary changes to the settings.
And load the image.
And one more thing!
CLICK START
