okay. dvd shrink sounds like a good software for detail options.
btw i read an article about quality for different software and dvd shrink quality is among the worst. Is dvdsrhink really that bad? thanks
here is the link for that article http://dvd.box.sk/articles8.php?stranka=9

That review was with an older version of DVDShrink. The newer versions do a much better job, especially with the Deep Analysis option.

I tired DvdShrink but it takes like 3 times longer to compress and encode with the same exactly video. Is there any way to improve it ?
I wasn't running other software at same time and the option in dvd shrink wasn't set to low priority in background.

Thanks

Use DVD Decrypter for ripping the discs on your HD, then DVD Shrink for compression and finally Nero to burn.

Yes but it is much better.

Do you run deep analysis too?

Yeah i did run deep analysis with dvd shrink. I really like the functions of dvd shrink for many options.
For some reason the compression speed is just very slow compare to other programs.
It seems like dvd shrink sometimes didn't use all the CPU powers even i didn't check the low priority box.

In my system it does. I need approximately 15 minutes for the compression, not the deep analysis, with my P4 2.4Ghz.

I think i ran deep analysis and sharp prfile that's why it takes almost 2 hours to complete the whole process.

You don't need the profile, use the default, personaly I haven't noticed any difference.

As for deep analysis if the file is too big and must be compress a lot better run this feature. This is the reason we I prefer to remove menus, extras, multiple audio and subtitles. Most times you get the quality 100%.

Hey thanks for the help on this issue.
I will try to burn one without the sharpe profile and check the quality.
After all why spend 90 minutes if i can't see the difference.!
cheers!
